WSIB Restructuring Pays Dividends, Says Marshall

In reply to the latest saga of the WSIB’s attempts to restore the financial stability of Ontario WSIB  or in simple terms “save money wherever / however  they can”. Marshall’s recent article  poses severe limitations and as a practitioner in this field for the better part of 15 years does not  accurately address the restoration of  Ontario WSIB’s financial stability.

This article speaks nothing about the hundreds if not thousands of  Injured Workers who, since 2010 have had their WSIB decisions arbitrarily reversed in favour of  significantly less LOE benefits paid out to them if not having their benefits stopped completely ?????

What Marshall  claims to take credit for in terms of what he coins as the Automatic Adjudication of Workers Claims  is in this writers opinion really nothing new at all since the WSIB has always prided themselves on the financial benefits of an Early and Safe Return to Work.

Unprecedented appeal back logs at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal is a direct consequence of very unfair decisions which continue to hurt already disadvantaged Injured workers  which , in our opinion has played a major role  in attempting to restore a historically battered system …..

Our message to Injured Workers is clear:

Continue to fight and move forward as each one of you will have and  is entitled to
his or her  “Day In Court”
